What is a typical meeting like?
Our meetings generally last one hour. They consist of one or two prepared speeches, followed by table topics, which provides everyone an opportunity to speak impromptu for 1-2 minutes on a variety of topics.� The prepared speeches have an evaluation, which helps the speakers improve their presentation skills by providing them with positive feedback and constructive criticism.

Do I have to speak at every meeting?
No. It is not mandatory, but it is encouraged, as everyone who joins wants to improve their speaking skills and the best way to do that is through continuous practice. Roles are filled on a voluntary basis, and members sign up for specific roles prior to the meeting.

How do I join Toastmasters?

You will receive a membership kit, many informational materials, and a monthly magazine that all together provide valuable guides, tips and resources.

Come observe a meeting and you will experience a fun, friendly, non-intimidating environment. Once you have decided that you would like to join, complete an application and join for 6 months for the cost of $27 (including a $5 local club fee) plus a one time membership fee of $20.  Each renewal thereafter is $32 (includes the $27 bi-annual dues for International and $5 for local).
